I know its bad but I dont have the high budget for Tanakas and G&G's but I really would like a Kar 98k. Is the D-Boys any good at all ? Whether its gas or spring

Simple answer is both versions are junk. Save your money and get the Tanaka clone,

about £200 posted to the UK plus customs fees if it gets stopped. Still a lot more useable than the Dboys versions.

good find ,i had been watching them on airsoft pander but lost the trail when they went belly up.
oh yes the dboys are only fit for ripping apart and re fitting with vsr parts, unless you want a project gun i'd consider the one above ,i know i am.

armoury
m1a1 Thompson,sten mk2,mp40,stg44,sterling,mk2 bren gun,lee Enfield no4 mk1,Mauser Kar98, Walther ppk,smith and Weston m10 and Mauser m712
Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well

Can anyone give some feedback on the quality of those Red Fire clones? Really interested in the Kar98K, want to see how it compares to the G&G G980.

Ditto for the Nagant springer.

The only review I have seen is on popular airsoft and thier facebook page. But for $200 - $300 I can probably say it will not be built like a tanaka.

And the review...

Has anyone put Real woodwork on the Maruzen/B-doys versions? I'm missing the front upper woodwork on my8mm, and have found an eastern european firm that sells the complete wood and metal stock. The metal bands, upper wood, the stock itself and the spring that holds the stock band in place. All for 130 euros.

I agree, but I was hoping I wasn't the first one to do it, failing that I could buy the wooden version of the D-Boys and put them on the Maruzen, its a nice rifle it just seems a shame that it dosen't have the parts.

If I remember correctly, the Marushin already has real wood? The DBoys wood is horrible. It looks like orange plastic.

Aye, its real wood, but missing the upper handguard.

I bet it wouldn't be too hard. You can do it. I'd do it if I had a Kar98 haha.

At the moment I have the upper handguard from my de-act on the Marushin, but I dont want to pull the deact apart to see if it fits.
