Hi,

I was wondering if parts from the real Kar98k are interchangeable with the spring Dboys Kar98k. I'm mainly interested if the stock, bolt sleeve and safety, triggerguard & internal magazine and extractor are interchangeable.

Thanks!

There's probably a very few parts that might be similar enough to be made to fit but I'd be really careful legally using any part of the genuine bolt ,the internal magazine is again probably very similar but I can't see any point in swapping parts as the dboys magazine is a part that works pretty well . I imagine a genuine stock would be easy enough to fit to the dboys internals but why do it ? The stock is usually the only bit people really want from the dboys k98k when building a better custom rifle ,in fact if you do a vsr based conversion the dboys stock is better than a real one as its slightly deeper around where the vsr mag and mag catch is so the magazine is not protruding below the gun.

For me the Dboys K98 is mainly as a collector's item and I want it to have as many real-steel parts as possible.

In Latvia we sometimes have people on the antik-war.lv forum sell new K98 parts left over by the Germans after the Courland Pocket for quite a low price. For example you could get the upper receiver and barrel for €40 and the safety and bolt sleeve together for about €25 so it's fairly ease to acquire parts here.

Another reason as to why I want the bolt sleeve & safety is because my safety somehow broke off as I was screwing the bolt sleeve on the bolt and also because when the safety was on the "fire" position it was quite wobbly.
