im at work, boss is on holiday , and just me and the accountant are here.

im trying to drain my battry, so it can have a "fresh charge"

in the last month since chargeing ive put 900 rds through it on 3 occasions without recharge.

TODAY
ive put 8 magfulls accross the shop so far, (BBs EVERYWHERE)

still no sign of it dying , im gonna keep fireing till its flat,

im well chuffed, as i expected the battry to last 10/15 mag fulls at most

and ill use any excuse to have a pop off, even at work LOL

plus all the scaffolding here makes a great NOISY target LOL :D

i dont own one

If you get hold of a connector to fit your battery and wire it to a car headlight bulb, it will do the same as a discharger, not as much fun but less time consuming :)

It's a NiMh battery (mine is anyway!), so it shouldn't need to be discharged before charging.

Can I ask how long it was from the time you charged the battery until you used it?
The first time I charged my AGM battery the night before a skirmish, worked fine, still firiing BB's at the end of the day. The next time I charged the battery two nights before the skirmish and after 2 mags on the day it was as flat as a dodo.

Ah, that's interesting. I noticed that when I left the battery in the gun (not something I normally do) it was very low on power two weeks later and that's with just 'messing around' use, not skirmished. No idea whether the little switch was left on or off - could there be a current draw even when not used? Beyond natural battery discharge, that is.

When Zero One looked at my MP40, the bloke said he charged the battery up one day and the next day it was flat.

Good point; I've just taken mine out.

I guess it all depends on the day the worker was having when putting the cells together lol

I'm taking a few extra batteries just in case, might have a couple spare if others needed a loan.

Can't wait for this, am sat in my armoury/quartermasters store/office/spare room  currently surrounded by uniforms, equipment, weapons, chargers etc sorting out everything for the day.

In my element, the girlfriend is away for the night

i charged my battery last month, its been left in the gun all that time with switch in both on and off positon

its fired 38 magfulls, over four seperate sessions (20 today) and still going,

its slowed a little bit, but not much

the test will be when i charge it on sat night on the drive down

ive got a "good quality" one as a spare in case.

hope this helps

The only thing wrong with my MP40 was that it fired 2 rounds at a time - the guy at Zero One fixed that for me. Dunno if that's what you mean??
