Not sure how much I'd want one (or the hassle of building it), but some cracking work there!!

Interesting.
I think I have one of those gear sets in a drawer somewhere...

It is a superb bit of work.
But the M1A1 was not made to accept drum mags. If you are going to bother you need to convert your Thompson to 1921., 1928, or 1928A1 as well. Otherwise it is just like putiing a drim mag on an MP40!

Yup, but it's the start! Next a wood kit, cutts, and a vented barrel! Oh, and hopefully a top cocking upper.

Be sure to put up some pictures as you go! :good: I keep chickening out of converting my M1A1 receiver into an M1928. Got the wood kit, cutts, barrel and foregrip but not the receiver. :slap:

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

LOL, sory Sgt, I'll be building it up as parts become available! Metal work? Me?? Erm....naw. So the likelyhood is I'll be like everyone else waiting on some clever bugger off this forum, or over in china releasing the appropriate parts!!
