Help identifying an acm gas rifle....

Vsr10, bar ten, G-spec, whatever the type or particular designation, yeah, according to what I've read that's the right rifle for the retrofit. Matter of fact you just missed a Kar98 shell (cut to fit the bar10) by an hour or so!!

Yep, those are just what different manufacturers call the same gun. Mine is a TM VSR-10. The Bar 10, the MP0001, are both just different names for the same gun. Not sure how much of a difference your's being gas would make, mine is spring.

In my experience, the gas-in-bolt type systems are piss poor (and ive played with ones for the APS2, VSR, SP M40 and CA M24). I did mod one in an APS2 for a mate years ago that was plumbed into an external HPA rig - and it was bloody consistent on the velocity front when modified (though ugly as fook lol) - but as standard it was, quite frankly, poo.
