ive stripped it down and put it back in, but i cannot believe how hard and complex it it to get the trigger and selector bits back together, its took an hour, and im still no further, and ive forgotten the order of the parts (i know i should have took a photo  ) can anyone help with a strip down guide or advice please.

i was using this at the weekend, but i dont think its going to be ready on time

ive heard its simmilar to an m14 gearbox ?

Help please :slap:

6 hours, 4 strips and rebuilds , and no joy :(

i think im a ppsh guru now, ill be dreaming ppsh all night

a new gun, less than 400 rounds fired, it has two teeth missing from the spur gear, two screws from the selector plate/ trigger housing missing, air nozzle disconnected, selector switch missalligned, contacts on trigger switch black and filthy, no grease in the gearbox, and what little was in there was black and filthy.

After sorting all this out, im still without a spur gear, and all my boneyard gearboxes dont have a compatible one.

for a supposedly new gun, im pretty pissed off.

looks like ill be using knife kills only at the anarchy game, as ive loaned all my other guns out

Hello mate, I had the spur gear strip on mine at Border clash which was only the second time of use and only done about 2000rds max just due to bad shimming, I replaced all the gears with a Guarder Version 7 gear set (link below) and re-shimmed.

These are about the cheapest I found and in stock it worked out about £25 pound delivered at the time. I have pictures from when I did it and will post them up this afternoon when I get up. (just finishing nights as I write)

That sounds grim! The M14 trigger mech is a bastard at the best of times and I must admit even though I didn't take the mech apart in my ppsh when I took the stock off to restain it, it wasn't the easiest of guns to put back together. Sorry, I won't be doing it again just to take photos!

It does sound rather like you have a lemon there and it may have been better to get it replaced under warranty rather than mess with it, but too late now! I assume you got it from Airsoft World? Perhaps even though you've now messed about with it they may be worth contacting for the spares. They will have experience with working on these guns and have been great with me when I had problems with the mags.

Try and order some stuff from the UK as it is quite likely to arrive in time, Fire surport generally carry a lot of spare and upgrade parts. You could give them a call and say you need the parts by friday and i am sure they can arrange something.

OR

I have 2 M14 Garand Builds going on atm, one of which i am trying to complete before the weekend. The other I have apart but have never tried the gearbox as it needed re wiring. You are more than welcome to try it to see if it drops straight in. I am arriving on the Saturday night so just need some wires a connector to lead to your battery and some soldering tools.

Hope these help. They are in the order I took it apart.

I cleaned out all the grease re-shimmed and greased and it ran fine at the Minsk game. This was the first gear box I have had apart and repaired so was pleased with the out come. I'm also fitting a mosft in mine to help with blackening/burning of the contacts as I run it with Li-pos.The bits I ordered from HK only took about 5-6 days to arrive so you should have time to fit them. If you need any other help mate drop me a PM.

THANKS FOR THE PICTURES IAN. :good:

I took an identical set last night to post up here, i was doing a guide as, ive stripped and rebuilt if 5 times now :D

ill get the guarder gears after the game, tinys bringing me a big bag of gearsets tonight, and ill see if any fit, just to get me through the game this weekend.

Due to the unusual method of procurement for my PPSH , it means im unable to return it to a supplier, ive just got to deal with it myself.

The positive spin on all this, is im pretty much PPSH trained now  (i can fully strip it down to open gearbox in under 10 mins, and get it back together in 15mins) ill be putting a beefy spring in for better fps, at a later date, and some of the steel gears so i can chuck in a 9.6 battery . :good:

Thanks for the help and advice everyone

Want me to throw my Ppsh in the van so you have a spare should the worst happen?
Its a Hexagon so your mags should fit?

Hi there I have exactly the same problem with the lads gun. Used it twice and now found the gear stripped??? Dadio said it was down to bad shimming along with screws missing from the housing etc.

The only thing I am not %100 at the moment is the gear type. I don`t want to order from Hong kong the guarder gears to find they are not the right ones. Has anyone any ideas how I can find out which version the gun is?? or any other advice greatly appreciated

Cheers guys
