Setup an A6 target (or tape 4 A4 sheets together)
Sorry to be pedantic, but the number goes down as the size goes up, so 4 A4 sheets together is A2, not A6. 4 A6 sheets would make A4.
Oh well, I stand corrected. Sniping is my forte, not stationery management. I should have said "a big, feck off piece of paper"
The kind used for flip charts is ideal for preliminary zeroing of airsoft weapons.

Thank Christ I didn't point out the error - superb put-down!
All this twiddling with sights reminds me of my brief attempt at 'sniping' with a G-Spec years ago. If you got the scope centred a puff of wind would mean a serious miss and even in a dead calm I hated watching at high magnification the BB arc in flight and land above or below target, so I set the scope on 4x as it didn't look so bad. Mind, it only did 300fps and I got fed up with being mullered by AEGs (heh, site then didn't allow above 350 for any weapon.
Best of luck with the Springfield sniping bigUK, I was hopelessly inept.

lol well we'll see how successful i am...Its 7 weeks at most till i get the Springfield. Been fortunate enough to get hold of an M73B1 scope weaver scope. So if i cant shoot straight atleast i'll look the part.
THanks for the advice, im definatly going to take my time to get it shooting perfect!
500fps uprade is expensive and is not worth the money. Cut the airbrake, buy PDI 6.01 and high quality hop up. That should do.
The most important thing for good range is hop up. Difference between for eg. 460fps and 500fps is just 10 feet, even less.
I'd get a bearing spring guide aswell, won't help with power but will improve shot-to-shot consistency!
“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."

"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."

Well so far ive spent Nearly £550 on the springfield & and scope. So id like to do the job properly rather than bog it. but thanks
Where do you get PDI 6.01 barrels then? I've spent at least 2 minutes googling for them.
Approx 30 secs of googling reveals -

Actually I've been there before so knew to search for XFire instead of PDI.

Nice one Matt,
"Heart or Head, either way Jerries Dead"
It's a quote from a game I'm not condoning shooting people in the head with sniper rifle

Yeah its gonna be GrrrrrRREAT
as Tony says. Sniping that is..not shooting people in the head..If that was to happen i apologise in advance.
kinda oldish thread, but this could be helpful for future users

you choose between 525 and 585 fps

Both of which are above UK site limits!

Obviously. Or changing the spring.
I was merely pointing out that anything above 500fps with a .2g is too hot for UK sites.
