Can you see BBs coming up to the feed hole while winding it?

If not wiggle about that spring tube thing that takes BBs from the mech to the feed hole.

Do this while winding the magazine and listen for the BBs feeding up it.

One of my magazines will only work when there is a kink in that tube. Doesnt look right - but it works!

all three of my midcaps had a feed problem, then didnt , then they did again

i found it wasnt the mags, it was the gun, when i was opening it up, as i folded it shut again the hop and barrel were not perfectly alligned in the upper gun body to mate with the feed hole in the lower gun body , hence feed problems.

after several attempts, it lined up ok, and now i dont open the gun up anymore

it seemed that unless the barrel and hop were "just so" it wouldnt feed, i still to this day dont know the exact position, it was just trial and error.

I had the same problem Joseph.

Graeme on here told me to open the gun and simply remove the barrel spring to fix that problem. It works and as far as I can tell the gun stil shoots as good as it always has.

The gun is superb when it works but it is a bit of a diva & I think the amount of problems people have had with these guns is beyond a joke given the £280 price tag.

Airsofters must have a higher tolerance of defective goods than other hobbyists.

Did my suggestion that the air nozzle was not backing off from the hop have any baring of the fix, I suggested pad the end of the gearbox so the air nozzle cleared the hop on full auto as it may not be allowing clearance for the BB to pass into the hop with the cycle speed of full auto.

It is one thing that my hop design on my PPSH gets around as I am able to adjust the location of the hop rubber in relation to the feed port and air nozzle.

EDIT

That backs up my idea of the problem. :D

I think particularly WWII airsofters, because of the limited availability of the right weapons.

the gun is o.k as i have tried a midcap and it feed o.k. i think the hicap internals are screwed as there does not seem to be much pressure feeding the bb's after fully wound. are the internals easily replaced.

cheers all.

I think the mechanism is the bottom half of an M16 hi cap magazine.

Hve you taken out the little screw in the mag? This I believe is the main problem as I haven't modded my mag around the centre bolt, but I have removed the screw and it feeds perfectly now!

It can still be as others and I have said because a higher pressure from the mag would compensate for the same problem.
You may find the first bb's will feed due to the high pressure on them then you will get a fail.

Yes mate I replaced mine with TM M16/4 high cap internals. It works fine but still needed the recommended mod and not doing the centre boss screw up to tight. I do mine up just finger tight and it seems to have solved the problem.

If you're still having problems after filing the centre boss... you probably haven't filed it enough!

I had to file mine a lot more than was shown in the YouTube video before I got it to work 100% perfectly. It now never misses a beat.
