I tried getting some answers here
viewtopic.php?f=13&t=14579

From what I gather Hexagon has indeed gone under. From what I understand real steel stick mags should fit if you cut of the top part and remove the spring and internals, as they have the correct dimensions.
The problem is that the hp feeds from the rear of the mag so we cant use the internals of an mp5 mag like the ares crew can. A Vz61 magazine should work as they also feed from the rear. Take the insides of one of those and put inside real steel mag and, voila, you have a stick mag. Except no one really knows if it will work and no one wants to spend however much money on real steel mags and vz61 mags only to find it doesn't work for whatever reason.
If you do manage to construct one then please post the results, I and, I'm sure many others, would be very happy to see this tried.

On the subject of an mp40 mag adaptor, you would need the top part of a mag and then part of an mp40 magwell. It would be quite a challenge to make I think.

Had chance to compare a hp mag and a s&t mag yesterday. At first glance it appears that you can unscrew the mag feed and turn it around (theres 4 screws holding it in place inside the mag) this would make it orientate right for a hp ppsh. The only other difference is that there is a slight recess around the feed hole on the hp mag where as the s&t mag is level/flush.
Maybe a bit of dremmeling could sort this ?
For the time being ive left may mid cap drum with a gun monkey friend who's pretty handy in this field to see what he can make of it.

Thats good news then.

This fellow appears to have converted a hp mag to fit an ares. (further down the page) I imagine if the hp can be converted to ares then an ares can be converted to fit a hp. Keep us posted on any further advancements and keep it at it :good:

Someone I know managed to covert an ARES mag to fit his HP by turning the mechanism around, so it can be done. :good:

Do you have any more information on this being done? As I understand the internals can be reversed quite simply (presumably), but did any work need to be done to the mag catch part. As I recall the ares catch is slightly smaller than the HP so I'm not sure if it would require any modification to fit the HP or how such a modification would be done to enlarge the catch. Thanks in advance.
