From the pics, this looks to be closely based on the G&G M14, the hop looks the same (steyr aug, i think) and the fact they seem to have just used what looks like a G&G M14 trigger group rather than make a new trigger guard that actually resembles an M1's. The receiver looks good (I could bore you with a minor niggle about the stock, but I won't)

Bummer about the mags not fitting the cartridge belt, they obviously don't think about how people will actually use these things on a skirmish field but I am sure that some bright spark will figure out a way of making mags that will fit.

I've been looking at ICS sites so often I now want a G33...

Just seen the below image, and is it just me or does it seem a bit well, wonky around the trigger assembly? Hopefully the image has been rescaled incorrectly :L

EDIT: having looked for a while the whole damn thing seems a bit off :?

It's a crap picture. God knows what they have done with the picture of it. Still I'll wait until we see one in the flesh.

I think it is because it can only be as high as an M14 where the M14 trigger assembly is attached to the gratbox. It looks a bit thin there.

Crikey, a linseed-oiled stock - nice touch!

Looks to be very skimishable and practical. I'd say the fact that the mags are an odd size for pouches is balanced by the 42 round capacity - in effect you are carrying four clips in the rifle so for low ammo fans no need for extra mags, use your pouches to hold something else.

Still it'd have been nice to have them the right size... especially with the dearth or pouches/pockets on an M41 uniform..

Oh and they say they've gone to loads of trouble with the switch contacts... but really what would have just worked, would have been to add in a mosfet. A shame...

Having said all that... I am seriously considering one!

I barely rack through that many BB's in an event......

Looks good from the photos...... There was always going to be compromises so umm, well. I'd be considering it too......

Is it finally getting closer or is this just them trying to maintain our interest?

While I like to carry my medic bandages in the first aid pouch it has occurred to me that this enlarged magazine might still fit in there. And with the larger 42 round capacity maybe only one, if any, spare mag is necessary thus leving the Garand pouches free for more chocolate.

I have a small skewer hidden in the collar of my jumping jacket, and a razorblade in my gaiter, as well as my knife.

Hmmm yes... they may well fit in a carlisle pouch... especially if you can get hold of the late war larger type (that takes the cardboard carlisle packet).

Certainly looks very nice. Shame about the mags but, hey, it's not that important.
