Well that could be said of any airsoft weapon they bring out ww2 or otherwise, but if we're going to buy them then why not? Point is due to the nature of the original rifle I can't think of a way to have the weapon as a top loading gun, you would interrupt the entire internal mechanism and then we're back to put up with the clips having the baseplate on or buy a Marushin. If they have brought us a gun which actually feeds adequately unlike the custom M1s then great, if you don't buy it because the clips don't fit in the ww2 non airsoft pouch which was originally made for 8rd enbloc clips an would rather use a custom M1 which probably feeds 50% of the time that's fine. Personal choice made. Just don't moan about it.

I dont think its for their benefit rather than ours.
I think it is for their profit but our benefit.

Suggestion, what if one was to substitute the M1 Garand Belt with the BAR belt to hold the new M1 Rifle Magazines?

Then you'd have space for an awful lot of magazines....
Well, I can't think of anything else to satisfy the people who want the magazines to fit into their belts, my impressions are British so my experiences in US Webbing are non existent, I suppose someone who has a mixture of U.S Webbing and an M1 Garand from ICS/G&G should check and we can put the whole issue to bed.

But it wont look too good. The best ideas yet are either to modify a bandolier or use a GP bag.

Every rifleman carrying a GP bag will equally look bad.
Spiers, whilst what you say is true, at the time they were designing this rifle they did ask for comments. My comment was that the mags should fit in a cartridge belt. The mags for my M14 conversion do, so why shouldn't the ones for the commercial version. Don't be surprised if I become a little annoyed if they ignored my suggestion.

I dont agree as it would be quite possible for that event to take place whilst all wearing BAR belts would not.
There is a photo of US troops entering a German town and all have a GP bag. Visitors to ATF will know the shot. I know its only one but I honestly haven't looked for more.
I do agree with you that it would be annoying not to make the mag fit the pouches designed for the rifle.
Airborne troopers have the option of rigger pouches, lucky swine.

And you'd all look like BAR gunners who'd lost their weapons.... Actually it's been done by players using M14s as counts as Garands to hold M14 mags.
GP bags and thompson ammo bags are quite good for keeping bulky mags in, but for a lot of combat you want weapons and ammo only. We've (mostly) all done it at some point but having the bag just looks(to me) a bit odd for a US infantry rifleman. You can't expect top loading stripper clips with an AEG but It would just be nice if they had thought about players who portray ww2 rather than collectors and digicam open-dayers with a tast for the exotic when designing the magazines. That said, more AEG garands can only be good and I am sure one of the enterprising folks on this forum will come up with an alternative.

Yes, I really wish they would.
they dont fit , well they do to a degree so can get in but not fasten and struggle to get out , thou its early when fully awake will check again - dont have gun yet but my mags came this morning
after having a play , they have a base plate which can be removed which i guess is there to make fit into the gun and nice and smooth if you can use without the base plate then they fit into so just need some one with the gun now lol
If that's the case then it sounds ideal! i.e. if you want them to fit in a cartridge belt, they will.
But, if you don't mind them not fitting but want the perfect look on the gun then that is also an option.
Here's hoping they work in the gun without the base plate on!
Friday mine arrives so all questions will be answered. If they don't fit then I will adapt some garand bandoleers to fit them.
First world problems...

Probably because 'we' are not the customer, the afore mentioned 'didgicam eccentrics' are. There are only a small number of us, and loads of them. though I don;t understand why they couldn't do something that fits both, I also don't think we are a very important 'consumer base'. We are pretty irrelevant really.
Airsoft guns, that aren't for the purpose of airsoft, but are for the purpose of being looked at by eccentrics... the logic there is definitely of a decent quality...
