First time in my life I've ever been called a trend setter! It would be great to see more bolt actions at CiA events, as that what most German and British foot soldiers actually used. What we need now, is for the allies to ditch a few Thompsons and get some Enfields made.

Couldn't agree more.

Maybe in the fullness of time we'll all naturally progress to more rifles. We'll know we've arrived when there's just a couple of smgs and a support weapon and everyone else with rifles. Fire and movement might actually work then too.

Ditto, would be great if we could have the ratio more like the real life deployment.

Do you think Warren would reduce the cost of his Lee-Enfield's/K98's if folks could club together and ordered in bulk ? :D

If anyone doesn't want the hassle of ordering K98 stocks from abroad, I just found these....

http://chelmsfordmilitaria.com/shop/ind ... c=39&p=295

Complete with stock bands. Hopefully might get a few more people to try it.

My progress so far:

“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."
Adolf Hitler, November 1942

"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."
Joseph Stalin, November 1942

Boshman, looking good so far!

Jeks, good luck with your conversion. Best advice is take your time over it and it will all just fall into place.

That's who I used for my trigger guards. He's really good, especially since he added a freebie with every order I made!

Good find. Thats definitly one for the favorites!

Not that it really matters, but I believe those are actually Vz24 rear sights not Kar98k ones.

Oh no! im turning into a stitch (or should that be Bolt counter?). :rasp: :rasp: :rasp:

They are a good price though!

Sgt Heide, you rock! I received my beautiful K98 today, and if it fires like your own rifle Pete, I will be well pleased. Great workmanship mate - I am in awe of you! 8)

gents
the trigger guard and rear sight assembly has arrived.

??? trigger guard ???
I have noticed that the trigger guard does not simply slide into place and from observations appears that the rear section of the magazine house needs cutting and shaping. is this correct or is there an alternative sollution.

??? rear sight ???
this is still connected to what appears to be a section of the original barrel or similar part . does this also need grinding off or is there a way to remove it .

I am so close to completing now need help on these last bits before i get all jackie chan on it

cheers
jeks
