Have a look here for a solution viewtopic.php?f=13&t=5639&start=45#p97016 I did this mod on my mags and they all work ok now
i highly recommend the mod of cutting a section out of the plastic mag well liner, don't use the slap them in method as it beaks an un-replaceable part.

Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well
So is the recommended mod the chamfer on the feed hole or the section of plastic on the magazine sleeve (or both)? I'm a bit confused also as to whether you only need to mod the sleeve that is in the magazine well on the MP40 or the actual magazines themselves?
I only ask because my MP40 is feeding a bit dodgily at the moment and I don't want to break an irreplacable part.
for some reason the feed hole does not line up properly on the king arms mags (some worse than others),i prefer the mag well mod as once its done all mags fit rather than modifying 5 magazines separately, what it actually does is allow the mag to go in on a slight angle(not noticeable) and align with the hop.its very quick and easy to do as well.

This. You can break the feed tube of the hop up by slapping the mags in. It's happened to almost all of the unmodified Mp40s i've worked on. You're also less likely to muck things up with the magwell mod compared with the magazine mod. Plus, as said above, you only have to do it once.
Cheers for the help guys, I'll jump to it
If anyone wants to swap any KIng Arms Mp40 mags for my Metal AGM low caps give me a shout as I have another project in mind for the King Arms mags.
Will save me forking more money out.

Is it the same scenario with the AGM Sten??? I was going to get the Kingarms box of 5 for my Sten. I only have two guns presently, AGM Sten and SRC MP40 (no problem with mag spares for the latter of course!)
Nah, the king arms mags fit the sten without any modifications.

Seconded. I bought 5 ka mags for my sten and then I saw the article about them not fitting on here, I was a little annoyed but as soon as they came and after a squirt of silicon they fed flawlessly, still do, so don't hesitate to buy them for your sten
Thank you both for the information.
