Hello

Does anyone know what spring comes as standard with the Kings Arms metal/wood Thompson so I know which way to go to reduce or increase fps?

Cheers

Charlie

Mine came doing 400fps out of the box. I put a M100 inside and it varied from 345 to 360fps. I dropped in a 1J Systema spring, and now it's doing a nice 317fps

:good:

Excellent, thanks.

The spring in the king arms is a M120, i put the spring I took out the ICS grease gun. Doing 330 now. M100 of any brand should drop it to below 350

Also, you all know this, but remember that the spring will loose it's initial power after some usage. I got my Cyma-based hybrid Thompson down to a nice ~320fps with a Systema 1J spring, but after just a year its weakened down to just below 300fps....

If your site allows it, I'd aim for a ~350fps spring, use it and when it does "age" it'll go down to a nice ~330fps. :good:

as a rule always do a shot on semi before storage as it should return the spring to a relaxed position in theory thus preserving the spring life.when you finish on full auto then the spring can be almost fully compressed and dramatically reduce the springs power if stored like that.
oh and ditto the m100 spring
