Hi guys, looking for a helping hand before I finalise a sale.

My mate is selling a Lyman 422 Expert scope he acquired last year, and I was curious if these types were ever used on Lee-Enfields, British or Canadian.

I'm very much leaning towards the 'no' end of the spectrum, as it's as American as Uncle Sam, but I'm not familiar with British sharpshooting optics as there's not a great deal of information on them!

Any help on actual scopes used - and whether or not a Lyman would pass for one - is appreciated.

Never seen anything like that mounted on an Enfield and tbh it look more like a small bore scope.

For No4 L-Es the No32 scope would be correct pretty well 100% of the time. You can get repros apparently but I expect they will be expensive.

You may be able to get away with it on an SMLE, but even then the style is a bit old-fashioned for the era.

That's a shame. My mate who's selling it said he was told it was taken off an Enfield, so I thought they might have been purchased commercially for use with snipers, maybe by the Canadians.

If anyone as any other info they'd like to share, I'm all ears.
