Right after holding out and hoping that TM would make the obvious choice of a 1911 as an AEP it doenst look like its going to happen anytime soon.
So i'm holidng out for the most reliable gas 1911 pistol out there, i absolutley detest gas guns but my glock much as i love it doenst quite cut it and although i know i'd be happier with a beretta 93r and it would fit the holster better i think im going to have to bight the bullet and go gas.
So two questions.
whats the most reliable 1911 at a decent price.
and...
how much do you reckon i shuld ask for a TM clock 18c wiht a spare mag and a 3300 ma battery/tactical flashlight.
light needs a new bulb, pistol has slight feed issues.

when i was deciding on a sidearm last week, i very nearly went for one of the WE full metal 1911's from rsov, as you know i went for the Tanaka colt police instead, but i nearly got one of each!

I've got one of them - a WE 1911. I haven't skirmished it yet, but it's been test fired loads of times and I've had no major problems.
One minor niggle is the hold-open catch; I haven't been able to take it out yet (to strip the gun) after giving up in case I damaged it, it seems it's stuck. After unsuccessfully jimmying the shite out of it, a few times it wouldn't hold open on last round. That seems to have cleared up, but I still haven't been able to remove it from the frame.
Externally it's nice and heavy and looks good, but the outer barrel and breech are made of the monkeyest of monkey metal, laquered to look like chrome (too shiny), but you can tell underneath the laquer the metal is crap. Apart from that it's been great.
Comes with two mags in the box, too.
Personally love 1911s . I've had two WA ones, the Original and a Colt Commander . Both were bloody expensive (
Swear by my TM .45, its powerful and accurate over range (just ask Yith)

excuse the dodgy URL, its off a forum i was banned from for sticking up for an irish friend
feck it doesnt work at all.
you could look yourself: zeroin.co.uk >> Guns:For Sale >> TM 1911, boxed, spare mag.
looking for about 75 quid i believe.
Not too shabby, but you could still get your full metal WE for less than that (with two mags).
It not a purchase im making for while, just checking opinions at the mo
ive no4 lee enfield to pay for first

ach well - keep it in mind, chances are it'll be there for a while if you really want a TM.

Nice looking gun, feels like real steal in a parkerised blue finish. This thing has a good weight behind it, shoots not bad but not good, strip down need a bit of persuasion, Hop is easy to get to, runs on 134a and costs me about
