found this pic on the pegasus airborne site. i looks like the hartenstien hotel, it is titled as arnhem..........definatley a paratrooper ( wings on sleeve)

Strange assortment of kit that guy has.
Is the pic of the German taken from the famous series of photos during the battle of the Bulge. Part of the series including the SS MG42 gunner with Hi Power Browning in hand. That whole series of pics shows some very strange kit being worn by the SS and Luftwaffe troops involved as well as all the goodies they've obviously helped themselves to from the burning American convoy in the background
don't be suprised to see Jerry clutching almost any weapon-remember that they had most of Europes weapons factories churning kit out for them-so you get the Jerry Bren (ZB28), 9mm Browning courtesy of the FN works at Herstal and so on... (plus bit of captured kit always good for looking cool)
