I've been looking at getting the marushin m1 for a while. obviously they are 8mm and seem from what I've heard to run a little hot, i know its an 8 shot semi so you can not far off get away with it as a sniper but has anyone had any issue with it being to hot?

I haven't had an issue with mine being too hot, I've had reliability issues with mine. You should know a good machinist if you buy one.

I would stay away from them personally. You have an option to buy an ICS one which will have spare parts avaliable to the end of time itself.

The marushin can be too hot depending on the site rules u play at allow. (or country you are from i guess?)

As its 8mm and the balls weight is often 0.34 or 0.45 gm the chrono reading would have to be around 220-250 FPS to be allowed to use in close situations. Otherwise your left with a sniper which you won't be able to hit anything with.

My ICS Garand is firing sweet after Dadio downgraded it; no misfires and still extremely accurate.

The only problem I've now encountered is that one of the wires to the battery connector has become loose. Looks like a job for the soldering iron tomorrow.

If you got the first ones in the UK, it seemed to be torque of the motor would turn a weak spring to quickly. Bad planning on ICS part for the UK market.

Mate of mine had a brand new one first game problems, took it back given a new one with no questions asked. Same thing happened again. Was looked at by techs I presume they just put a crappy motor in it.

My ICS one does the same, also the magazines won't seem to catch properly but they fit tight enough so that it's not a huge issue

Sounds like the quality control on these was especially poor. I've heard of a few problems with different batches.

That makes sense, its about the only thing I've not tried. Never had much luck with ICS.

I don't think you're alone. I can tell you that their AK74M is god-awful and I've heard a fair bit about other ICS guns going wobbly. Though someone I know swears by their Galils.

I've fired a bullet on every continent. Nearly hit someone, too.

For what it's worth, I must have smashed eight hundred rounds or more through mine at Foy. Didn't have a problem with it and I found the gun extremely accurate. Could be a case of pot luck, though.

Try and use .25 bbs wherever possible; it does seem to prefer them and a 7.4v LiPo.

I think mines a duff one, runour has it some of the early ones can be a bit iffy.
I do run .25s and 7.4 lipos on everything as is,but thanks anyway :)
Given up on it now, sent it to Firesupport as I was pretty close to getting the Stihl saw out!

Hi all, newbie here. I pick up my ICS M1 tomorrow and I am wondering what batteries ya'll are using?

I spoke to a retailer and they informed me their 8.4v 3700 mAh large type battery will fit. I've heard that the large type batteries do not fit as well as they are telling me.

I ask this as I still have not got the bottle to use a Lipo.

G&G MG42, PPS Kar98k, KWC P08 and patiently awaiting the KWA MP40 GBB.

Large type batteries should fit in the M1 stock, though my preference would be to use lipos every time (personal preference)
