Any helpful hints as to how the M14 can be converted (clip changed for internal mag) in to the M1 Garand? Without too much buggering around?

I believe it goes along these lines
1. cut m14 stock to just before sling swivel
2. dremel grove into top of m14 so rear handguard stays on
3. fit metal work infront of stock.
4. fit front handguard.
5. fit metal work infront of that including gasblock
thats the basic premise however fitting the metal work is a bit more challanging. check the yank forums as 2nd bat has put some info on there. think some others on here have produced certain info too.
