Right - I've sweated blood to get this bl**dy body and stock to fit and although it still needs some work, here it is for our perusal prior to it's first shots in anger at Gunman this weekend...
The hop-up unt refused to fit into the AZR body so I attacked it with a dremel. The plastic sleeve over the hop then wouldn't fit through so I slipped this off and the hop is now held in place with a trimmed cable fastener but sans big nail! Test fired her in the garden and the hop deffo seems to work.
That's the ticket - I slung that plastic ring too!
The sight on top of the AZR body is complete pants and not even fixed at the right angle so I will need to sort this. Also the pain flaked from the body like dandruff off a teenager. Having tried undercoat (melted the AZP paint off), undercoat #2 (alu primer) seemed to take but didn't like my attempts to metalise the body with humbro enamel so its now Krylon'd black and will be 'weathered' and sealed with matt sealant tomorrow.
I don't have time to fix the sight pre-weekend to will have to shoot optimistically and at close range only!
The std stock bolt for the front of the stock do not fit so there's a temp one in for now.
Finally, although the butt plate is a snug fit, there's nothing to screw it into so I've used the old plasterers trick: fill the big hole with paper mache then skim the top. In this case, it's going to be skimmed with milliput, with nut sunk in before it sets.
