Ok, i own the Marushin m2 and I've had one problem with it so far witch is everytime i fire the bolt gets stuck back and sometimes even comes off like I'm disassembling it. I've only put green gas through it and its supposedly only to take 134a. is the gas my only problem or is it something more serious I'm wondering.
if it helps the bolt on my M2 was getting stuck, i had it cleaned and it seems to have solved the problem

Thanks I'll try. also does anyone know if they're ever gonna make 15 round mags for the m2?
I emailed WGC about the mags a while ago, as far as they know, there are none and won't be any. Could change, I'll certainly be keeping an eye out.
As far as the gas goes, I'm pretty sure it's 'proofed' up to Green, I think the recommendation for 134a is more about power than the operation of it.
Hiya
I picked up my M2 carbine cheap from our local airsoft shop because it had this problem. Its caused by the bolt getting blown back too far and the cocking handle jumping out of the hole on the rail thats used for stripping the handle. What I did with min is cleaned it realy well with some sugar soap so there was no grease in the hole then filled it with chemical metal. Sanded it down so it was all flush and the problem cannot happen anymore. The only disadvantage is that you now have to take the stock off if you need to get the cocking handle out. Upside is that you can then run it on HFC22. I have since september and I have had no problems with it.
Stu
thank you very much that is exactly what is happening to mine i'll be sure to do that immediately and get back on the field
Hi Trigger,
There are a couple of issues that can cause this problem.
1. if your using green gas you need to set the cocking handle tension spring to it`s strongest setting. When you remove the coking handle from its rail in the action you have along thin rod attached together with a long thin spring ( about 4-5" long). on the rod there is a circlip and there are 3 grooves in the rod, you need to put the circlip in the groove that puts most pre-tension on the spring. This makes it harder to pull back the cocking arm and also gives the blowback unit more work to do therefore softening the recoil. Also you should note that only the `export` version is fully prepd` for green gas useage. ( the internal gas piston is adjusted in the blowback unit for this).
2. the second most common cause of the bolt jamming is due to the pin, that holds the roller in place on the nose of the main Hammer, has a habit of coming out sideways and jamming the bolt.
To cure this, remove the pin/shorten it by about 1mm ( it`s quite soft and a file will do it.) , re-fit the pin and roller into the hammer, then using a fine centre punch peen the hole at both sides of the hammer so that the pin cannot move sideways.
Also while you have the action out of the stock make sure all screws etc. are tight. You may `loctite` most of them, but only put a small drop on as the screws and action are soft alloy and they may chew up next time you try to remove them if you overdo it. Once you have done these jobs you should be rewarded with a reliable rifle... like mine.
Also if you can get `Abbey` utragas it`s about 8-10% softer than `green`, which will be safer for your gun.

Thanks mate that is even more help
ok i've just fixed my bolt problem but another has arisen now it only fires in full-auto does anyone know what the problem might be hopefully its just the small spring i saw on the fire selector can someone maybe upload a picture of that area so i can maybe see if mine is in the wrong position or not...... thanks mates i've got alot of help from you guys so far hopefully someone can shed some light on my problem.
trigger,
Your M2 has the same problem that mine had out of the box and I know of two others with the same fault. As mine was brand new under warranty I returned it to Mike Cripps of `ELITE SHOOTING CENTRE` in BURNLEY. Mike told me that it was down to poor q.c at the factory. Apparently screws were loose somewhere in the action. When the carbine was returned to me it worked perfectly and has done ever since. I noticed that the fire selector works now with a postive click at each end of travel, which it did not do before. If you ring Mike and tell him Pete Pritchard recommended you, he may be able to advise you how to fix it. His number is ..07816992417.
Also if you p.m me I will give you my e-mail and or phone number. I have the manual with explode view of the parts but my scanner is bust. I may be able to do a digital photo of it and e-mail it to you.
