Well today I picked you this bad boy. As the title said its the Marushin M1carbine CDX. This is the Japanese version so it's firing at 290-270. So it's an oversized pistol. Now from my point of view this is not a bad thing. I didn't want the 440 fps super beastie.
So onwards with the mini review. It's lovely. There you go. What more do you want. Oh I guess some details might be helpful.
It's full wood and metal, not pot metal but steel. So well done marushin for learning that pot metal is poo and breaks. So hopefully no more breakages from not being able to take the strain.
It's co2, so more UK weather friendly. But it's ok summer is coming 
The wood is a nice dark colour. Of course the purist in me knows its not WW2 but that is an easy fix. So I will get around to sorting it at some point.
How does it shoot. Well I will find out on Saturday. Soon as I find out you'll be the first to know.
Now of course there is always a bit of a down side and that's the magazines. First they are about £50+ and they are 15 rounds. So it's going to be a bit expensive to turn it into a gaming gun.
Now I'm going to try hand loading during games and limited ammo will change my whole gaming style.
Tanaka owners have the same problem and they still are a force to be reckoned with.
Oh one final plus point is the awesome crack when she is fired and the bolt slamming home. It's pure gas gun magic.

Nice review. The plastic-stocked version is on redwolf now. The export version, mind you. Redwolf claims 350 fps.
Yes so I've seen. I will chrono mine on Saturday and see what it actually is. The two versions on redwolf give the fps as440 fps and 350fps for the wood version and the plastic stocked version. Most of the US sites give 350 fps as standard.
The plastic one is only about £150 inc postage from redwolf.

Test fired today. 4 mags per co2 bulb. Good range now that the hop is set. All in all a very nice Gas blow back weapon.
