Looks CNC machined doesn't it? Won't be cheap even if it is coming from China.

Verrrry interesting indeed. does look like a genuine airsoft replica prototype and not just a mockup. notice the pistol grip is much wider than the real steel in order to acomodate a gearbox. As CW says look like its CNC'd but they would probably use casting for the production models or do both like VFC did with the BAR. Prices might not be too bad, After all if A&K can do a bloody good M249 for £200...

My only issue is this, the picture is only on a discussion forum. So far we have no release date, no price and no way for finding out how to get any other information. AGM are ment to be doing an MG42. The company which are doing the MG34 are apparently known fro putting up photos of products to be produced, but never seem to see the light of day. I do so hope that I am wrong, as I would love an MG34 so I guess it will be a case of wait and see.

What company is it? I can't see any info on the make. Could this be the MG34 we heard about ages ago but everyone has since disregarded as a hoax. Only time will tell if it appears or not but in the mean time we have some pretty pictures to look at.

Viva airsoft works, they are the same lot who posted pic's of the KAR98 scope. I have just registered on the rsov boards to see if I can find any other info.

Looks like a concept demonstrator to me - way too much machining on it for a production model. I'd expect a production example to make use of a considerable number of die-cast parts (purely to reduce production costs)

Hmm, Release date seems rather optimistic, but price of <£400 is not unreasonable especially when you compare it to the other large MG's on the market. At that price I would almost certainly buy one. TBH you dont really want em too cheap or else the Axis will be fielding a ton of them which would be wrong and the Amis will get even more of a pasting than they usually do

For those of us who would really like to see this be made, I think its a good idea we all register on the RSOV forums and express our interests. at the moment the thread is full of posts by numptys say "very nice but can you make a PKM please?" If the manufactuer is really using the thread to guage interest then at the moment they will be making a PKM not an MG34! :slap:

If that price is right I'll definately be saving my pennies for one. I'd say a price is about right for an MG; not too expensive like they currently are but not too cheap so that every player has one.

£377? Compare that to the price of a Tanaka K98. Either the MG34 is *way* too cheap, or the Tanaka is way too expensive.

Ah yes but wait until the Uk retailers slap their mark up on it. Even if ordered from HK the shipping will still be a hell of a lot. Shipping on a tanaka is $171 express.

Usual way that UK retailers seem to do it is simply to swap the $ sign over for a £ sign......

**edit**

Shipping for my MG42 was 90 quid via EMS, not bad considering it weighs more than two K98's, and the box was bleedin' huge. Still, with the massive increase in the cost of Aviation fuel, and the decrease in USD:GBP exchange rate, shipping is getting to be a fair bit more expensive than it was 2 years ago...

To be honest, it will be something I will get, dependant on reviews. I do intend to wait and see what the AGM version or MG42 is like. Assuming it comes out of course.
