I have an MP 44 and I want to source replacement parts or a broken MP 44 as spares. On JDbay there is a an MP 44 and the owner has claimed that they have been discontinued and hence the £200 price tag, a new one is around £230. Looking on a few UK sites shows them to be out of stock.

So I just want to check if they have been discontinued or is he just trying to justify the extortionate price tag? I think it's the latter but just want to make sure.

Thanks in advance.

Most likely bull, but even if it is ther must be 1000's out there still new.

just a very quick search from EU http://www.taiwangun.com/en/agm-056b

add £10 postage and £10 handling fee and you get it for £180 new.

If you want to stay in the UK you can still get a brand new one from £209 instead of a used and possibley abused one. http://www.airsoftworld.net/aeg-branded-agm-mp44-black-metal-wood-airsoft-rifle.html

Seeing as John got one brand new this week, I'd safely say they haven't been discontinued.

They ("AGM") appear to build them (STEN, MP40, MP44,etc) in large batches rather than continuous production runs. Leading to periodic (6-18 month) drops in availability.

Thanks for your replies guys. I have looked online myself and found quite a few sites that were out of stock which could have meant it was discontinued or a shortage in supply

Also, does anyone know if Airsoftworld.net is reputable or of any problems ordering from them?

Thanks for your help :-)

I ordered my webley from them and received it within a couple of days. John bought his stg44 from them and got it within a week (fps was also downgraded). I think they're mostly good.

Ralph
