Nice work :good:
It is aluminium I presume so the finish will have to be etch primed for paint or aluminium chemical blued as aluminium is hard to keep paint on.

I would make it more like Doc has made his version, he also used my plane set in some ways but kept to the real size and didn't enlarge by 2cm to fit the whole M14 inside, he just used the gearbox and hop etc.

Looks like you got the lines straight, I use a length of steel angle to draw down.

Good to see another nice 30 cal .
I did a rough 50 a few years back but TBH it was far too big to be useful, given it's range was no better than the avarage AEG . Scarily big but no more bite
A 30 cal is a lot moreusable weapon :good:

Here's an update on my .30cal.It's actually a length of metal car exhaust pipe that i made the gun barrel out of and the side's are 2mm metal.I've got a M249 Gearbox and that will fit into a P90 hop unit,a 590mm tight bore barrel with a Mad Bull blue hop rubber.I haven't gave a thought on which battery to use with it,any ideas?

Looks great nice fast work I see you know what you are doing, glad you used steel. Exhaust pipe is a good choice are you able to oil blue with a propane torch as I do if so you may want to take the silver finish off the barrel jacket, a angle grinder wire brush would do the job but it tends to deform the holes so would have been best done first.

Bluing in this video but only small bits my other videos with larger parts are gone for the moment.

EDIT
Larger part use a brush.

ive used exhaust pipe on sten's and on the sterling's im doing now,the tube is ally coated but the ally is thin and can de taken off with a disk sander and patience, then it can be blue'd, but it can be frustrating as sometimes you cant tell if a small patch of ally is left and you only find out when it leaves an un blue'd patch and you have to start again,if the ally coat is clean enough you could use birchwood casey ally black and save a lot of work.
looking really good by the way and i dont think you will have trouble finding space for a battery in there.

handle look's good and i love the barrel being removable like that ,it's so easy to forget that thing's need to be stripable when designing them, and it all looks so simple when you buy a gun,not so simple when it's up to you.what kind of magazine capacity are you looking at and do you intend to feed bb's under the ammo belt from a box mag ,if so you need some of that spring that can be used as a flexible tube ,hopefully somebody can point you at some as ive never used it ,otherwise if you have space above you could cut up a p90 hi-cap to be fed from a hopper above and have a descreet winder extended under the forward part of gun

all looking rather spetial :D .i take it you have acsess to weldind gear, with that in mind you can fake heavier guage metal by clever folding and fabricating of thinner sheet metal ,this can also reduce weight.what are you going to mount it on or are you going for the full telli savalas look and stand with it ,if so you will need the stub off a cigar clenched between you'r teeth to finish the look. :good:

Maybe to as I did use U section with a steel pipe welded under it for your top latch.
