GBB MP44, FG42, MP40 and a Sten lookalike which I've no idea what it is.

Unfortunately, they're real guns at the moment. I know they're working on a couple of PFC "model guns" as well, but i'll believe their existence as Airsoft when I see it.

Plus, there's another problem.... Airsoft is semi-auto only in Germany :(

a Sten lookalike which I've no idea what it is.

It's a German copy of a MkII Sten designated the MP3008, it was built late in the war for the Volkssturm, which was something akin to the British Home Guard.

Thanks for the info on the MP3008.

Someone said - "Dittrich Sport Systems announced an 8mm FG42 paratrooper rifle" on the above thread so if it's in writing, on the interweb (of a billion lies) it MUST be true, mustn't it?

There's another problem with them coming from a german company. Airsoft has to be semi-auto only out there :(

Yeah the sten copy totally defeated the reason why german veterans prized stens.

The germans gave theirs a verticla mag meaning that the pone advantage a sten had over an mp40 - a low prone profile was removed.

Actually I don't believe it either but they do look very nice, and very expensive.

Personally I wouldn't consider the semi-auto only being too much of a problem with an MP44 or FG42 because they're not supposed to be smgs anyway. The MP40 and MP3008 however, would seem a bit hamstrung to say the least.

So that's why the Sten magazine is sideways. I never realised that! What an excellent design feature.

Well, the Stgw44 and FG42 were both select fire, so it'd be shame if they dont have full auto
