Matrix | S&T M3A1 Full Metal Grease Gun Airsoft AEG
The M3 was an American .45-caliber submachine gun adopted for U.S. Army service in 1942. The M3 was commonly referred to as the "Grease Gun" or simply "The Greaser", owing to its visual similarity to the mechanic's tool.
The S&T M3A1 is a perfect replica of the original which makes it great as a collector's item. The internal system is a high quality, innovative metal gearbox which makes it more than capable in the field.
Comparable to the ARES M3, which retails for $320, this redesign has a compatible gearbox but with better performance. The battery in this version is wired through the pistol grip with a cap, making it part of the gun, instead of in the magazine. The freed-up magazine is now a 520 round Hi-Cap, but the S&T can still take the ARES mid-cap.

Looks good. :good:

The biggest plus point for me is you dont have to worry about puttings mags into batterys and it takes the Ares 65 rd mags.

But the Proprietary Gearbox does scare me, doesn't give any clue on what parts it takes in Video (if any excist on the market!) Where as the ICS grease gun takes version 2 parts which are easily avalaible.

Good find.

Smart Team seem good I have their PPSH and it seems fine, wish I had not bought the Aries now.
However it was my intention to convert it to a grip bat system anyway and the Aries is also steel.

Appears to have more similarity to the ICS, rather than the ARES, so perhaps an ICS clone?

900mAh battery? You'll be changing that almost as often as the 520 rnd mag? :P

I cant see why anyone would rush to buy one.
Thompsons rock. My old TM M1A1 is still going strong, shooting straight and goes all weekend on a 3300mAh large.

1 less Thompson on the field.
ICS only currently has High Caps
ARES only has the NBB and EBB which holds the battery in the MAG.

and the way ammo limits are going the standard mags are the way forward. putting 100 rounds into a high cap which holds 420 rattling around is annoying.

1 less Thompson on the field.

Is that an advantage then? Whats wrong with the M1A1?
I thought the greater number of weapons that were the same within a unit would be more accurate and thus more of an advantage.
You can get 60, 110, 190 and 420 rnd mags for the Thompson so ammo limits are easily dealt with.

What we want is a company equipped with garands. Now that would be lovely.

Sorry i was talking about the Grease gun mags. ICS only do high caps and the mag wells will not fit an Ares 65rd mag in.

I am looking at converting some plastic mp40 midcaps for use with my ICS grease gun as the mp40 mags feed into the ICS no problem. So will cut up a couple of my highcaps over the next couple of weeks.

I thought more of an Aries clone as it looks steel and has an Aries mag system.
