This is exciting! I'd love to see actual prototype pics. I hope it's VSR compatible so i can just transfer the internals of my custom Nagant into it.

A little over a month late mate http://www.ww2airsoft.org.uk/php/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=11462&hilit=m9a1
But back to topic it will be intresting to see the rifle in its condition. As zeta labs seem to make stuff look very good as they also do a Russian style RPG. Which looks nice. But have no idea of the quality of the internal parts. From there current stuff (mainly specialist guns) they are quite expensive. So will be intrested to see what the price is! My guesstimate $280. Anyone fancy emailing them about the details?
$280 wouldn't be a bad price if it worked properly. Its certainly alot cheaper than a KTW wallhanger.

Ah I was busy then with my BAR.
They don't even say Nagant on the advert do they?

Yes indeed... I'm very tempted and will be watching carefully!
Of course this is soming out now I have started a custom build
Sods law Komrade. I spent a lot of time in the early 00's building very custom modern guns - only to see them released as production items a few months later. Pretty gut wrenching sometimes
As to price, well, I don't want to hazzard a guess really but I think Lardy is on the right lines. Z-L's RP7 400 USD price tag is very reasonable considering the work thats gone into it...
When we were a Kingdom it was run by a King
When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........
What a vague product listing; Does it actually have the words "Mosin Nagant" anywhere on that page or is this implied from the statue?
If is skirmishable then I think $280 is fairly reasonable for wood and STEEL construction.

a few more teasers of the Mosin,

huh, nope.. can't get that to work...
Grabbed....
Cheers CW!
Well from that it certainly looks to be a Nagant... I'd say from zooming in at the pics that it does look like it will be a springer in the VSR/APS2 style... there's no hole for a mag feed in the receiver.
Also there looks to be a bayonet... But what on earth is the pic to the bottom right trying to show? A CNC machine?

Could be a tray of lots of small machined parts. No idea what though. It looks like the bayonet may be fixed to the barrel, which would make it an M44.
But a 44 had a side folding non-detachable bayonet??? Not that like twist to fit one shown in that pic.
It looks like a folding bayonet to me. Its shorter and looks like it has the folding point at the back. The stocks also look like carbine length and the M38 couldn't fit a bayonet.
Hmmm I see what you mean... It's definitely a carbine... Might be an M44... would certainly explain why there's a bayonet.
If it is an M44, then to be honest, virtually all my interested has just gone out the window.
little more translated.
