i have a spare mp40 sat doing nothing, and today i found a large lump of wood
so my new project is the mp41, a wooden butt on an mp 40

hes used a real steel stock
im making mine for a 3 x 8 plank. 
mine wont look nealy as good as that
the rounded barrel nut for starters, a lot of work for something that only a "die hard" mp 40 fan would spot
also my trigger guard wont be as thin, im taking a mini grinder to the pistol grip and cutting it out, then dropping the top half of the gun into the wooden stock
ill keep you posted, but had to delay it today, as im fixing my mauser 712 in time for op lightning

i stipped the mp 40 down last night, the gearbox and motor is quite thin and it should fit the wood fine
while im at it, im going to uprgrade the spring, will a 130 spring push it over 350 fps ???
ive got my wood ready, and after op lightning, its getting hit with a router ,planer and a sander
