 i SHOULD have taken your advise .......dropped drum at home on basement floor now frigging with the spring tube .
:slap: :slap: at least i have an idea on fixing it ( mean tome using my stick mags and spare low-cap drum.)

from don in canada

There is a problem with the drum mag feed spring tube.
the tube tends to take a straight angle and pinch off the BB flow.
So here is a quick fix using a strip of aluminium and 2 cable ties.
Those coloured BB's are good 0.2's even though they look like the naff type.

worked on the tube spring 1.5 hours..........today another hour .
the drum works now but still needs a bit of fine tuning ..........im going to install the support piece you mentioned.

besides the spring -tube i discovered dirt and a little crap inside the moving parts .........i guess when loading in the field some stuff got in the drum as well. a very good cleaning and THEN more frigging seemed to help.

thanks for the encouarging reply ............hahaha

I see there are new(-ish?) mid-cap drum mags available now for the Hexagon PPSh. Are they interchangable with the ST model, does anyone know ?

Alright mate, the ST and hexagon mags are not compatable the feed holes are in different places. Whether the internals can be stripped from one into the other i dont know but it will seem a lot of faffing about. When i run my PPSH at a more limited ammo event I use some high density foam to pad the internals of the mag out and stop the rattle that you will get in the mag.

You can buy a stick mag for the ST as I have done but it is still a high cap with a wheel.
