Ok, we all know about the Kar98k, Enfields and Garand conversion projects. But what im very interested to know is, what less obvious weapons conversions have people done (or even ideas for future projects?)

Like for example, Ripping apart an MP40 and adapting it to form an aussie Austen SMG :good:

Ideas and examples??

I'd love to see a decent, functioning Brown Bess (or Baker)

Only thing i read on this forum (from memory) was dieselmonkey saying he tried using a shotgun pump action, pumping the ramrod. But assume that it amounted to nothing. Shame really but 18th/early19th century warfare isnt best to be adapted to Airsoft :L

I think Dieselmonkey considered using, rather than tried, using the pump-action - in an academic discussion on the subject.

I have taken apart a cheap replica land pattern I have to see if, out of curiosity, something could be fitted in it. Something could, but it would require all that skill and woodworking malarkey.

Though of course it could be adapted to airsoft. The range and accuracy is far more believable for individual weapons, no supporting arms required, just don't be daft and try and pretend an airsoft site is Wagram is all.

Ah yes, my memory doesnt serve me as well as it should. If a commercially viable flintlock weapon could be devised, it probably wouldnt be made in any great quantity. Lack of demand i suppose.

Would be brilliant if someone with the woodworking prowess required made a working model. But it would be so specialist and handicapped compared to almost any other airsoft weapon it would be extremely rarely used.

these is word of a flintlock pistol coming out soon, so fingers crossed it will be good :)

Yeah, i have a world of half-completed, utterly pointless projects!

Welrod, Delisle carbine, flintlock and musket, plus a few others. I've currently got a completely disassembled cyma glock 18 that im trying to work out what i can do with.

The 40mm moscart flare pistol works wonderfully, however, i've still got it.

hahahaha it'll be like schoolground children

'i can fire 600 rounds per minute, how about you?'
'3, 4 if im lucky and nobodys shooting at me :good:'

Gives a whooole new meaning to the statement 'preserve your ammo' lol

And its the half finished projects that make you stand back and think 'wait, if i do this *fiddle with something* *blurs eye and closes the other* yeah i can make it into an {insert weapon name here} :happyclap:
