The butt plate fell off my ppsh :slap: and I can't find it. Anyone know where I can find a suitable replacement?

Regards,

Ralph

Hopefully you'll find it, I don't suppose you are going to find a spare anywhere. If you remember what it looks like,( just looked at mine) it's a pressed steel affair with the " oil bottle" hatch. I could fashion you a copy cover without hatch, and you would have to screw it on. If you can't find it.

A copy cover would be great thanks. How much would you want for one?

Ralph

No payment, I will make 2............ in case I lose my one!
Apparently the swivel screw comes loose with the opening and closing, so in time it just drops off, I took mine off to do the wood stain, I wish I had left it on, a real pain in the butt to get back on!
I will probably make them the weekend, I'll let you know how it goes.

Can't work this photo nonsense at the moment, the butt plate is done,( made a spare for me also) I'll leave it to you to drill holes for attaching, it fits my Ppsh ok, you might still have to do a little bit of " fettling" to get your fit.
The swivel end on your stock would be a 6mm threaded screw, a real little git to get it together, for the top you'll have to fashion a pin clip. When I sort the photo problem I'll post pics of original
PM me an address and I'll send it to you. OK

Had a few thoughts on fixing butt plate on Granger, the bottom screw like I said, easy 6mm machine threaded screw,( a bit fiddly to attach) top screw has nothing to go to if you follow the original idea you will be able to button it up, but not undo it!
Maybe a piece of metal or aluminium, cut to "Y" shape, then inverted, the two bottom "legs" then attach to the plastic inner mount screws, a third hole in upper straight leg aligned with pin clip hole, and use a self tapping screw to fix plate top screw. Does that make sense?
