Was wondering about a feeding issue that is?
If I was to take a m249 box mag and simply had one of those feeding tubes linking the mag to the gun, would all be fine and it would it feed OK?
My other question was if anyone knows if I can get anything similar to what airsharp sells with the magzaines for their .30 cals?

If you can find a spring tube long enough (if you are considering building a .30cal/.50cal/vickers/maxim and feeding it from a boxmag hidden in an external ammo box), then yes, it does usually work. Beer tap delivery tube also works well - It's stonger and doesn't kink or get damadged as easily, but is far less flexible.

What about adding some rigidity to continuous spring using heatshrink tubing?

What about having a m14 magazine inside the gun which is viewable when you lift up the top cover and have a tube coming from that into the gun?

Sorry to revive this old thread, but was still wondering about my previous question which was, If I had an M14 Magazine standing upright in the gun, connected to the internals via a feeding tube, with the very bottom of the high-cap just sticking out at the bottom of the gun. Would this work????

Assuming that the feed tube doesn't have too sharper corners bent into it, then yes. My airsoft Vickers MMG has a 'reservoir' in the receiver made from an old G3 hi-cap mag that is electrically driven. The feed tube from that feeds a top fed hop unit that is located over 14" away from the mag! Works a treat.
