Signing on for the September game, has spurred me on to finish my smle, been a bit slack on it this last week, but managed to do some today, as well as MOT on car!
Made sight mount and protector, cut out for charger clip on receiver.

Spent two hours today, making new metal charger bridge, to replace the rubber one that Warren supplies.-- attachment is not available ---- attachment is not available --

A little bit of work on the rubber mag supplied in kit, not too impressed with it although a good idea, it does come with" aero chocolate bar " factor, so a bit of filler is needed. Might start looking for metal replacement later on.-- attachment is not available ---- attachment is not available --

Just spent the last two hours trying to get this thing down to 350fps, best I can get so far is 370, try and get below, the piston is then slopping about in the cylinder and the holding pin for the spring guide just drops out because there is no spring pressure to hold it in!
Now that piston slopping about is not doing my pop gun any good at all! Have tried weighting the piston but minimal difference, will have to try a spacer to take up the "slop".
The annoying thing is at about 450fps this fires sweet! Has tightbore and airsoft pro hop unit fitted and using .30's- 32's has nice long accurate shots.

Perhaps the tightbore and hop unit are part of the problem,-- attachment is not available --

I now have it down to 335-348fps, with the odd shot at 352, so it fluctuates a bit at the moment. Will have to put some through it, to see if it settles in. I really don't like it being this low, as soon as the game is over, it's going back up to 450-480fps.
Played a bit with the hop still getting a good distance though it seems to have suffered in accuracy, but time will tell on that after using it a bit, and sorting out ball weights.
Gave the stock its first colour on stain, using Colron "Georgian medium oak" on this one not so dark as the Jacobean colour that I have been using.-- attachment is not available --

When dried, will use beeswax for a sheen, if this works to my liking, it's nearly done!-- attachment is not available --

This morning before the wax went on, I gave it one coat of coloured wax, mahogany, some stuff from Homebase, had it for years. But it has worked really well! Not too dark, nice grain effect.
All fitted together, and firing, still some trueing in to do, needs a bolt stop, as there is still a bit of a "slop" in that area, so needs an unobtrusive little piece just to stop the bolt from moving back, hopefully will help accuracy as well, though I can't see it do it when I'm firing it I'm sure it moves back a bit.
Fitted fake safety, fitted fake mag lockout. Altogether quite pleased with the finished item,......have steel cyl, air soft pro piston kit, and new spring, waiting to fit in later!-- attachment is not available ---- attachment is not available --

I was going to do the charging handle lock down, tomorrow, but I couldn't wait. So found and old drawer runner channel, and fashioned one. Works well, normally this might take a few tries but went right first time!
Bolt/cylinder now doesn't slide back. Hid screw tops with a bit of black wax ( from a cheese wrapper!) works and doesn't look out of place.-- attachment is not available ---- attachment is not available --
