Ah, I had to ask first time I tried to strip one! You are looking for a very small grub screw. I'll look out the exploded diagram but from memory (dodgy!) you will find it if you lift up the leaf sight.
Have you got down to an inner barrel with hop block stuck on the end, free from the rest of the gun?
This may help with removing the inner barrel: viewtopic.php?f=45&t=4911&start=0

Yeah there's a very small grub screw located within the threads of where the front stock screw threads into the receiver section. It's deep in there and very hard to see. If you check the parts diagram you can barely make it out.

Correct. Same size as the others on the tanaka.

well by the looks of it the head of the screw has been completely worn away so cant get a purchase on it to get it out
Any suggestions on how to fix? was thinking mabye drilling out the screw but could be dodgy :/
thats the norm, if you go a mil up you then just need to find a screw which is a mm bigger to fit. You could always repalce the screw with a grub screw too!

hate to say it but drilling it out could be grief, the surrounding metal is ally and a lot softer than the grub screw.

Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well
If the screw is stripped, you have some options:
1) drill it out, as mentioned above
2) use Pratley steel to bond a suitable allen key to the worn-out screw, let it settle for 24h, then unscrew it using the bonded allen key
3) the same as above, but with a welder
I would vote for 2-3-1, in that order.
