Hello,

I have a big problem. I want to replace the inner barrel of my Tanaka Kar98k but I am unable to take out the barrel from the hop-up unit.
There is no screw or something like that. I tried to pull and push the barrel but I do not want to force it. Does anyone know how can I remove the old barrel and install the new one? I can not find any description or drawing in the net. :(

BTW can anyone know any shop where I can buy best gun hop-up kit for kar98k?

Thanks.

Here's a link to the manual. You'd be surprised just how well Tanaka can hide a grub screw!

Great, Thanks!
I am looking for this draw for a long time.

My problem is, I can not remove the part 55. As I see I should first remove the screw 56. But I can not see it. The 55 part is moving out from the hop-up unit for about 1 cm only. I cannot see this screw and the barrel is still not accessible. How can I remove that screw?

It's part 67 that holds the hop and barrel assembly and is very well hidden and very small! When you've removed the screws, the inner barrel and hop just slide out towards the rear. All you need to do then is seperate the barrel from the hop unit.
