I've had a few messages asking about my source for Thompson drawings.
I have no idea how I came by this link, and just about every search I've tried to "rediscover" it has failed. :?
I can only assume I found it while looking for something else.

Here it is:
http://www.nfatoys.com/tsmg/

There's a lot of info there, but what most of you modders will want is on the menu on the left, under the heading of "Thompson Drawings"...

They're in PDF format, and if you don't want to deal with a mix of decimal and fractional imperial dimensions, as well as obsolete thread specifications and some missing dimensions, don't bother looking.

They are mostly single-sheets scanned, but some of the larger parts, such as the receiver, have a single sheet scan and a 3-sheet, higher res scan.

Not all of the parts drawings are there. Most of the missing ones relate to the M1 and M1A1, though.

NOTE: Use this information at your own risk.

EDIT: I forgot to add that if you're looking for the selector, its official name is "Rocker Pivot", and what most people call the "lower Receiver" is the "Frame" on the drawing list.

Does anyone know what the rail part that connects the front grip to the barrel is called?

"Grip mount" or "Mount, Grip" ( Drawing 6147676 ).

It's not usually listed separately as the barrel would need to come off to replace it - NOT a field job.
