Hi,

Can anyone recommend any good woodwork for my Cybergun Thompson?

I saw a pic of some for 83 Euros (I think) & a link on this forum but cant seem to find it again - does this ring any bells? And is the woodwork all prepared ie hollowed out to fit stock/ batteries etc?

Any help much appreciated

thanks, Seidler

I got mine from http://www.rsov.com

I did need to do a little bit of hollowing out in the stock, and a bit of jiggery-pokery with the forestock because it was made for the TM version, which has the front screw at an angle.

Still, it all worked out ok.

Which one did you get? I think the more expensive one looks best....

Thanks, Seidler

I have the CAW walnut version: http://www.fire-support.co.uk/store/com ... oduct=1865

I'll have the Thompson with me at Bryansk if you want a stroke!

RSOV do a 'heavy' and a 'light' version. The light version is cheaper but needs dyeing and sanding to make it look proper. The wood is also quite soft and mine got pretty pock marked in a 'guns hits don't count' firefight. The 'heavy' version looks better and is supposed to be okay so I go for this - about £55 inc postage.

If you want the 1921 foregrip, AZR are advertising these in the For Sale section - made to order from hardwood and look great but... you have to wait soooooo looooooong! I ordered a Garand kit from them three months ago and it still isn't here.

Nope, seems to be the other way around, the one they've got labelled as 'heavy' is cheaper! I think it looks better, but it does have more "rough 'n' ready" look to it, rather than pristine showy looks.

If you want the Thompson vertical foregrip you're better off getting this one http://www.ima-usa.com/product_info.php ... ts_id/1184 it's only $24.95 + P&P and when I ordered mine it only took about 4 days to arrive :D

Hey Steiner,

Is this similar to the one you got, or did you get the dark one?

That looks like mine. It was a little red, so I scrubbed at it with wire wool and vinegar, and it looked much better. :)

Hmm, Steiner is trying to confuse you Seidler, 'tis Steiner who goes by the name 'Jenny' when it suits her. I'm all man, that's why I offered the stroke of my wood. Err, wood kit I mean

Now I'm getting scared...I know it gets very dark in those woods at night, but I have a very big torch & I'm not afraid to use it.......
