just recieved my oak wood kit for my M1A1 and thought I would put up some comparison pics of the plastic, wood and oak furniture.
The plastic one is at the top then the more reddish one is the wood kit and the bottom one with the heavy grain is the oak kit.
Here is a second pic to show the difference in the grains of the stocks.(Oak, wood kit and plastic stock)
Also the Oak kit fits very well and was a dream to install although it is a little on the light side may have to weather it a bit. (even had the correct hole in the hand grip for the ACM thompson.

Just goes to show that the AGM plastic furniture ain't too shabby!
Others have stripped the cheap wood stock and re-stained/varnished it to better effect although you don't get the grain of the oak one of course.
