Well, since the Sten seems to be somewhere near launching I had a look round for info on the MG34. On the RSOV forum there is a chap who claims to have one: http://www.rsov.com/forum/showthread.ph ... 276&page=7
and was bought from here: http://www.mainirishairsoft.com/scripts ... ategory=99
just thought id let ya all know i have the mg34 since jan 6th its a cracking gun to look at and hold .
it gets that look every where you go with it you know the one " dam i hope hes on our side look "
there where a few teething problems the main one being the drum mag not feeding properly i ended up taking out all the old innards and fitting the electrics and gearbox from a C-mag which now works perfectly also the inner barrel is far too short for this gun my gun was fitted with an m4 barrel which is half the lenght of the outer barrel so i fitted a 590mm 6.03 madbull barrell much better now . i also reworked the gearbox there wasnt anything wrong with it in the first place i just fitted bushings reshimed it and fitted a new cylinder and piston and a 1 joule spring because we are restricted to a 1joule limit here . i also fitted a faster motor and 9.6 2000mah battery which increased the rate of fire and makes it sound right .
im not giving out about this gun infact its very good i just thought it could do with some enhancments/refinements ......
maybe the manufactors will notice the mag problem and sort it at the factory also it definitly needs a longer inner barrel apart from that its excelent .........
one other thing i reworked the hopup unit as it was it just had a grub screw pressing down onto the rubber which wore out very fast after fitting a new one and a small peice off an Oring to act as a cushion between the grubscrew and hop rubber this improved things a lot better than standard .
so there ya have it if you do get one have a look at the items listed above maybe they will be improved on later models .. if not now ya know what to do when you get one
P.s.
heheheheh "just thinking am i the first to own and use one off these in a skirmish "
i bought it from a company in ireland http://www.mainirishairsoft.com but they only had two.
one is on display and i have the other .
they are expecting more but not too sure when ...
i had it out on sunday and where i was in a small base no body would come near it to attack the looks of it just sitting on the barrier was enough too keep em away .
1) Gear box - TM version 6
2) Overall length - 1230mm
3) Weight - 6kg
4) Battery - 8.4v included
5) Material - mainly metal and aluminium, real wood stock and plastic grip panels
I can't say I'm totally convinced by his story. I hope he isn't lying but for some to be available in Ireland before anyone in the far east has one seems unlikely. No mention of the price either. It does look very sexy though.
900 Euros was mentioned...
Ah yes so it does. They're certainly not cheap then, not that I expected them to be. It could take me a while to save up for one...
well they don't seem to have it now and god the drum mag looks ugly, nothing like the fluted real version.
damn those grapes must be sour anyway!....

It took me ages but I found an email address for VIVA. a few weeks ago, I recieved an email from them saying they did make some and sold them on to some dealers. tey didn't say who. Bu they said that they were in discussion with a "leading HK retailer" I've heard no more since then. as regards to the Irish getting them, that retailer is the biggest one in Ireland, so it would surprise me if they had managed to get one or two. But to be honest I'm not really convinced.
