It seems RA-Tech have produced a conversion kit for the WE M14 that makes it into (mostly) a passable M1 Carbine. The full story is on airsoft-news.eu. I very much fancy one of these! Thought I'd pass on the information.
Agree totally. It is, however, a step in the right direction. At some point there may be the capacity to swap innards into an M14, Garand and M1 carbine. That is a very good thought for those like me who have a foot in many different time-period loadouts.
Carbine looks nice... correct barrel band and sights... needs to lose the damn ris rail!
The M1 carbine kit is for the KJW Ruger10/22, not the WE M14.
KJW? That sounds like a rare beast... and not from a good manufacturer...
hmm seems you can buy already straight from them

Nope, the ruger 10/22 mags are banana mags, but only as long as M1 carbine mags.
Ruger 10/22
another model with magazine
Orrible (for me)
Bit confused, do they make an airsoft Ruger 10/22?
The Ruger shown in the pictures is a 'real steel' .22 rimfire semi auto. The first two pictures show the rifle with the standard box mag fitted, the last picture shows the rifle with a butler creek bananna mag and two Ruger box mags.
FYI North West Custom parts are importing these kits for Ruger owners to convert their 10/22's.

Apparently they do, http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/other-gun/ga ... rifle.html
Well, I'll be.... if the dimensions are anything like the real thing there is a whole shed load of stocks etc that might fit it.
This is what mine looked like before I sold it

The KJW is a copy of the old Tanio-Koba gun (they actually used the original TK moulds!). I had the pleasure of messing around with one of the TK shooters donkeys years ago - probably the nicest gas blowback i've ever handled, and also perfectly externally scaled so it will drop into any real Ruger 10/22 stocks.

Here`s the KJW 10/22 with the RA tech M1 carbine stock kit on it. The KJW mags are different to the M1.
actually doesnt look to bad. Lose the scope and its ok.
Not to bad for $249 (orignal gun) then $160 (conversion kit)and finally $22-$24 dollars a mag.
Might seem a heavy out lay for starters but i recon selling un needed parts of the orignal gun you could make a fair bit back.
So a skirmishable gas m1 6mm blowback for just over $400 dollars not to bad and with parts not being to hard to get hold of, should be intresting....
Yeah I think I'll stick to my marushin 8mm...
