This for ya MP40 Lewis ? without looking at the link cos I'm stuffing my face with a much earned bacon butty, mine takes a NiMH 8. summat thats two rows and small. The bigger size is the MP5. Not sure if that makes sense to you
Easiest way to work it out is take your battery out of your MP40 and look at the code on it and match it to the ones on the web
Yeah its for me Mp40 ok will do i no f all about batteries eccept aa ones that go in remotes

I'm pretty certain the AGM MP40 takes 8.4v mini batteries (second from top), though I could be wrong as I base this on what i've read on t'internet. I'll only know for certain early next week
Yes indeed, second from the top on that page. 8.4v 1400mAh 'mini'
If you haven't got a charger the second down on this page is the one to get:

Believe me component shop is the best on the web, I bought the charger which Chommer's recommended and its made life much easier... I wish I heard of it before buying my batteries and charger from airsoft retailers!

Be careful about increasing rate of fire mate.
Firstly you dont need it, the mp40 had a low cyclic rate anyway, this meant that a skilled soldier could fire single shots as the rof was low enough.
Secondly faster rof means more wear on your gears and components (not good on a cheap aeg) and also you're going to empty your 50 round mags too fast.
I've never tried to increase rof on an aeg. its just not really worth it, epseiclaly for the pace of wwii games

Perhaps it could be a issue with internal parts? Either they've invested in better parts or yours has problems? Either way higher rate of fire with a gun which only has low-caps isn't a good thing.

Its the chinease battery that i have .

Barca, it was probably the battery not holding its charge. With a nice fresh decent battery, it'll be fine.
And Gadge is absolutely right about increasing RoF - utter waste of money. I have mates who tart their guns up by putting 9.6v in, and they are always breaking down. They upgrade the spring, then the gears go. They upgrade the gears, then something else breaks...
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier

I wont be doing any upgrading at all,i will get the battery that chomley reccomended hopefully that should do the trick.

The thing it right mate is that if you put more votageinthe gun it goes faster, the upgrades are then needed to stop the parts wearing out.
So as long as you keep to an 8.4 volt your fine.
basically volts is ROF and miliamps is ammountof shots.
roughly imagine each miliamp as able to power one bb and you wont be disapointed, you might get a bit more but its about that.
so a 8.4 1100ma battery is a medium rate of fire and will fire off about a 1000 bbs before it runs out.

votageinthe .
Gawd teachers today took me ages to work out your typo
I thought it was a whole new airsofting word
and wondered if my MP40 was missing something
Oh and single shot mode wears down the battery power much faster than full auto as on full auto the motors momentum keeps it spiining using up less power, if you do single shot it stops and starts form zero each time draining more juice.

Lewis is just wanting to replace his poo chinese battery, that's all. Chuck the boxed charger away too!
Actually Lewis, if you had mentioned this yesterday we could have swapped out your battery and nailed it as the cause of the problem ('cos there are a few other possibles). 10-1 it's the battery though!
Bugger should of siad something! Thanks for all the help everyone no what to get now cheers.
