Just seen this on zero-in
Zeta Labs MG42!
With zeta labs having just announced a shedload of new russian weapons (oc-14 groza, an-94 abakan etc) I knew my wallet was going to take a pounding. Then this morning I was linked to this little gem:
http://gunsmithbaton.militaryblog.jp/e252917.html
FETCH MY WALLET!
google translate says:
"ZETA heard from the previous president, "MG42 next year (2012) The summer is about to complete the prototype, the year after next (2013) has 出Seru I think Al" face03 What is
Development and production costs of the MG42 will I hear myself, so not such a little amount can be easily prepared, then it should also be talking about different from proceeding. What is the story if I do not gotta worry about his financial condition of the ZETA-chan Why is everyone in a hurry, "A book yet? Co ã‚™ Raa" What I get in-depth, and you do not firefighter, is hard of (^_^"
Unfortunately this article also goes on to say that the ZB26 and Bren gun have been cancelled
Armoury: AGM MP40, AGM Sten MkII, K98K/vsr and Maruzen P38.
Ah well I think I prefer the MG42 to the Bren anyways.
I've done some looking around since posting on ZI and allegedly its going to be pretty much a copy of the old ultima. Having never handled one I can't comment on whether this is good or not :/
:happydance:
Bren cancelled? Well, take the MG42 thing with a pinch of salt! Zeta Labs is based in china. The same sort of thing happened with the AGM PPSh. Apparently they relocated but it doesn't seem like any of that is true. I HOPE the MG does come out but I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't
GUNS: (ww2)
AGM sten mkII
Classic Army Colt 1911A1 GBB pistol
ARES PPSh-41
Deact Mosin M38
Zeta Lab is owned by Ares who are Hong Kong based I think. A fair bit of WW2 stuff is and has come from them both already so I wouldn't be so pessimistic myself...
Hopefully they'll be true to their word as they have a lot of stuff lined up I like the sound of. They're certainly being very ambitious in terms of the variety of never before seen replicas they plan to produce. A shame if they have to drop the Bren to do it though.
sruckin frucking no good bar hun-bug more hun guns
armoury

Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......

True, I hear that they are also coming out with a VSS Vintorez!
Well there's a surprise! A fine peice of Anglo Czech craftsmanship dropped and a jerry piece of angle iron kept! At this rate it's going we're going to be armed only with our acid wit, devilish charm and well turned up tweeds!
I'm a hero with coward's legs.
So unarmed and naked then?

I've heard an AS VAL and PKM too.
Bit of a necro but here's an update from zeta-labs:
http://www.everything-airsoft.com/blog/ ... and-akmsu/
It's the other story listed which is even more relevant:
http://www.everything-airsoft.com/blog/ ... -zb-vz-26/
Two weeks later it indicates that the Bren/ZB project has not been cancelled ( )
But the MG42 is likely to be a lot less than the $1,000 some reports had indicated so I guess that may mean even more German support guns. ( )
I have a small skewer hidden in the collar of my jumping jacket, and a razorblade in my gaiter, as well as my knife.
I'll believe it when it happens.
I find all the pictures associated with this ongoing story to be highly suspect. The "whet your appetite" shots look like real steel stuff to me. Why would you not show the bb feed on the mag?
One of the earlier posts has apparently been updated:
http://www.everything-airsoft.com/blog/ ... chine-gun/
Update: Zeta-Lab has advised that they will be releasing a Bren LMG at the same time as the ZB vz. 26 and provided specifications of both:
And the pictures there show the parts in the raw, so not real-steel "fakes".
do you recon they let them rust deliberatly to prove its steer, and they either reversed the photo or put the rear sight on the wrong side
