They`ve reduced these at Airsoft World with the statement " Sold As-Is with No Warranty. Display pieces ONLY. " I`m presuming that the rifles still work though ? http://www.airsoftworld.net/airsoft-gun ... stock.html

I sent them a message on faceache and got this reply, makes sense really as the rifles needed a bit of tweaking to be practical. :)

Hi, the rifles work but due to their replica design, they require care and attention to keep them working 100%. Sometimes the hop rubber needs replaced to get better performance, some feed better than others and need adjusted. The sling and bayonet is included in the package.
We put the disclaimer in because we've had too many 'fussy' purchasers expecting a perfect Tokyo Marui standard rifle. Most airsoft guns require tweaking to get them working perfectly and todays newer players have a hard time accepting this fact. At £199 we can't afford to pay for returns and warranty work, they cost us approx £225.

Thanks for that detailed review :).
I have been looking for online reviews but couldn`t find much in the way of negativity other than it wasn`t suitable out of the box and needed setting up. Do you have first hand experience of the rifle ?

I brought a "Boneyard" one off the forums. It was the AEG Spring version.

The actual internals are pretty solid. They are very basic but everything is made of steel. Its biggest cons are the airnozzle which is made of brass was not soldered well and was pushed in. I ran a few tests with it in different positions until I get the max FPS and new it was in the right place so I resoldered it in place.

The worse downfall is the mag system. Its a peice string attached to a spring which you have to pull to allow you to use BB's. However I cant see a reason why you could not do a mag conversion. I am however selling mine as I don't play Russian and have just brought a Springfield.

The gas version I have heard is another story.....

Yes I do :|

I did have the sniper version. Same as a friend of mine. Another friend has 2 of the carbine-versions, all Zeta Labs and spring-versions. And all were not skirmishable out of the box.

Mine had a max fps of 270-280fps out of the box, if you were lucky, 240-250fps was the norm. Also the mechanisim of putting the bb's into it was horrific.

The three others I know of, one of them is working, at around 320fps, after the complete internals were altered and changed, together with a M150 or M160 spring. The guy with the two carbines threw them in a cornor as he was not able to make them skirmishable at all and will burn them at a bonfire this winter (it's a joke, but that's what he wanted to do with them..).

Please buy someting else! If you still want one, please be warned

I have mine running at a costant 400 FPS with a variation of about +-10 FPS. I changed the Orings regreased the cylinder with AEG cylinder grease. Replaced 2 orings on the piston underneath them i put AEG gear grease and a very small amount above them too. That and a Madbull 150ms aeg spring (the pink one). Mine was second hand and a came with a tightbore barrel which is also proven to help increase the FPS as less air can not escape around the BB while in the barrel.

Hope this helps. Mine is the carbine version which is the same length as my Garand!
