I just tried Googling it a few minutes ago and it didn't work. Site must have been down.

Cheers Pete, I'll give them a try tomorrow. How many hours ahead are they? I wouldn't want to interupt their lunch. :D

They're on GMT +2 hours. :good:

I've warned our American WW2 airsoft forum friends about dealing with FOR and have posted on the WW2 reenacting forums as well. Hopefully, people will think twice before ordering from him in the future (though I doubt it!).

a 100 dollars goes a long way in the ukrane , how about a whip round, and contact a policeman to pay alex a visit

then again the copper may take the cash then not "fill in" alex, and we would have to have another whip round to get another copper to "fill in" the first copper and alex :slap:

"Take that you rotton helping of strawberry flan!"

Well, I'm going to see my Uncle in the Czech Republic at some point this year. It's not that much of a drive to the Ukraine from there.

Edit - He replied to my email!

Hello, all your order will be fulfilled in full.

Regards, Alex.

Hardly a reassuring answer, I'm sure you'll agree! My reply was equally terse.

That's not good enough. I think we would rather just have our money back.

Nice one Pete, my blood boils whenever I think about him. *when*/if it turns up, it would be interesting to see the post date on some of the parcels.

Had a reply from Alex-

"Hello, all your order will be fulfilled in full.

Regards, Alex."

Thats it! Nearly a month with no reply to numerous emails and thats all I get!

Perhaps all his staff have been the subject of one of Stalin's purges ?

Well, his level of service is certainly up to early communist standards.

There are plenty of places in the Ukraine on ebay, it's not 100% right stuff, but a good start non-the-less.

If you look in the Soviet section in the stuff about early war impressions you'll also see that there are two Russian suppliers. I think it could be good to investigate further into those.

There's also Trident in the states who sell on ebay and there's some repros made in China. Russian Arsenal were also very good for my padded jacket and Ushanka.

None are as cheap, appear as convenient, or have as big a range as FoR... but should be investigated.

I think I'll give Trident a go next time I order some kit. The prices, quality and choice all seem good.

Trident are ok, they have some fantasy stuff but most of it's fine. I have had 2 lots off them since November, both got hit for duty and spent longer with customs and Parcelforce than they did in the US system and crossing the pond.
They retro fit their plash with leather grommets so they are correct for wartime.
Their boots have rubber soles but are the correct leather foot and synthetic uppers.
Like SMWholesale it's easier to use their profile on E-bay than buy from the web. Message them if you dont see what you want.
