raid a charity shop, and you could find a "Volkssturm outfit" for under 20 quid.
Also ANY ww2 weapon or wooden stocked rifle, would do, they were issued all sorts of bollocks, but mostly panzerfausts looking at the pictures

I think that is actually the volksturm rifle- the VG 1-5. A rare beast that used STG ammo and mags but was semi-auto only.
I'm sure I've seen some footage (possibly stills?) of the Berlin Volkssturm armed with MG08/15s and rechambered Lewis guns as well.
