Helmet with Scrim on = sorted. Or else Berets are available from SoF.

I can bring two MkII lids with nets (mid size approx 58-59cm), and/or a post-war armoured corp helmet, that someone could dress up with a net and scrim to look like a para lid (large size approx 60-62cm), if anyone wants to borrow.

can a MkII look like a Para lid? :?

If it comes to that I have a Para helmet that can borrowed and I will just wear a beret. But given that the Berets are readily available it feels a little superfluous.

No, not unless you cut the brim off! But I offer stuff non-the-less. A lid is better than no lid (or no beret!). The RAC one will though...

Would it be the brown leather rimmed beret from SOF then, or would one of the modern berets be acceptable? Slightly thrown by the polish kit guide image.

SoF only sell one Polish para beret. The grey one. BE690
The construction and how it is worn make use of a modern grey beret questionable.

The one SoF sell has 'both' a brown and black leather rim. Because some people say it was brown and some say it was black. The image in the kit guide is a relatively modern Polish Air Force Beret, which are also, like SoF, 3 part construction.

Keep in mind that, apart from Poacher who I believe has re-enacted them (?), everyone else is also equipping themselves as this unit for the first time in March. So there is not a surplus of loaner kit like there would be for, say, the South Staffs, who people have been 'doing' for a long time.

Thats really kind of you to offer :)

I think I should have enough left from my allocated funds to get the sof beret. So happy days.

I wish, just badge a tunic for the event.
Re-enacting is shy of Polish para, Thunder from Heaven have done it and a few Airborne groups do it as a secondary impression.
