Guys and Gals, what little moments did you have at Arnhem that will stay in your memory for a long time to come?
For me, I have two that will be stuck in my head years down the line:
1: When providing covering fire for Ernie (9mmsleepingpill), he crept along the side of a building, pulled a stick grenade, pulled the fuse cord, then posted it through a window. One little moment i've seen happen a hundred times on real archive footage.
2: Within the first ten minutes of the game, watching the Para's and Airlanding moving up through the railway station(?) then opening up with the '42 (damn, guns sound GOOD in those huge buildings!)
What are your "moments of the day"?

I loved the Hohenstaufen assault to retake our hotel in the morning . I was holding out as the Heer near the bank with 4-5 troops . Up comes the SS .
"Scharfuhrer , take your men and roll the Allies back from the Hotel area"
Then watching them rip through the Allies like a panzer , it was pure class . Fuhrer's Fire Brigade reputation was 100% , thanks Stubblehopper and all !
Yes but 3 airborne held off about 20 of the Germans for up to 30 minutes from passing in front of the hotel in the afternoon.

Free speech is expensive these days!

Yes that was us .... my highlight was getting a bang kill on someone from directly above them!, also the mad grab and dash for one of the container drops after holding off a bunch of paras virtually singlehanded, (the one with the food)
Bang killing Oldsweat in the hotel. (Does that sound as rude to you as it does to me?)
The fire and maneouvre taking of the bank with the DRWs.
Chucking a ball grenade into the bank window and the outer casing coming flying back out of the window when it exploded.

It was a very gentle "bang" Steve , I can forgive you that ![]()
i think actually having a ball grenade hit me, was one of the scariest things that has ever happened to me in airsoft.
one anoying one was the para who just sat there and when i went to capture him just got up and bang killed me before being hosed by the 10 other germans surrounding him.
Arnhem Afterthoughts.

As with all things, memories can be good, or bad. The one bad memory for me was the guys walking out on the parade in the morning as we were doing the old panzerlied bit.

Only 1 bad thing for me, not getting there the night before
roll on Churchill's Revenge

Mid morning, defending yet another industrial unit, found myself victim of one of the many Para mass assaults. Shot to sh*t and waiting to bleed out; I was aproached by a young Englisher Paratrooper who asked me very politely "May I medic you and take you prisoner please?" How very English
. Was taken to where another prisoner was sat (Thanks, I owe you a smoke) and was waiting for my Gin and tonic when the Paras all left the building (something to do with some fighting outside). The G and T didn't arrive so we made our way back to german lines. A lucky escape and I don't wan't to be taken prisoner again.
Can we have have a weekly CIA do please? ![]()
I have so many good memories from that weekend, but the best probably was doing room clearing at the flower shop, desperately trying to overrun a rather nicely entrenched Yith and his Para friend (sorry, I didn't get your name). Took 5 guys and god knows how much pyro to get them out. Good job there guys.
Also, the chemist who offered me some of his 'tic-tac'. In fact, all of the Dutch Resistance players did bloody well all throughout, you really added that extra element to the game which made it very unique.
Can't wait for the next one.

Wait a minute!?
A Kraut was piloting the Brit glider??!

It wasn't his glider... but he was borrowing it from one of the other Krauts who'd been at a gig in Manchester the night before and hence couldn't fly it... ![]()
