I could do with some reference material for the signage please so I can get the style and typography right - book scans or web links would be very useful.

I hear you Dave... having a think...
BTW, I don't think any of the changes we're having to come up with now are going to effect what signs are actually needed... just where they'll need to go.
Who is your avatar David?

I'm proud not to have recognised him !
BTW I say it was on BBC1 at 2pm on Sunday ...repeats for all you fans ?
& no I didn't watch it .
Thanks Rich - I'll pick the email up tonight.

I've asked about ID cards for the dutch civilians. She gave me this link:
This is however for a foreigner living in the netherlands. Hence the red lines on it.
More can be seen here
Alternatively she says she will scan me a black ww2 ID card for 10 euros. This is her job you see, researching into WW2 dutch civilian stuff and we've done well out of her so far.
So what do people think? Is the ability to print out an endless supply of Dutch ID cards worth 10 euros (
I wouldn't have any problem spending a little cash - her work is outstanding....

Okay... as CW is the man who knows... I'll go ahead and order those radio files and the ID card image.
I have a ghetto blaster we can use, others are very welcome!
I'll bring my old one I used at BotB - I'll put a lead-acid battery with it this time as the internal batteries soon gave out!

Ah that was yours! The repeat didn't seem to work on it.
I made sure I pressed play each time I went past! ![]()
Lead acid battery... good plan... you wouldn't happen to have multiples of those would you?
Failing that I guess one of those power station thingies would come in useful... heh... I'll buy one.
Re ghetto blasters , I have a car cd player, a spare large Landy battery and several 300Watt speakers that will be converted with some plywood into a mobile stereo for use at our events by April . It should be robust and be able to belt out all day .
excellent!
I want to secrete these radio broadcast around the site.
Military radios in the various HQs
Dutch Civilian stuff in the DRWs houses...
erm, so we also want some ambient battle sounds?
CW, don't you have some already?
![]()
Yup, ambient sounds (various) plus some German radio traffic. Kermit has some stuff too IIRC.
Lead acid batteries - I have a couple of 6v that were swapped out of a fire alarm system. I'll have to check the volytage of the CD player, I might have to stick 'em together - if not then I'll have a 6v spare!

Yup, i've got some. I've also got the audio prog's to build em as well ![]()
Just tell he what format you want it in (CD or MP3) and how long you want it to last. Any other info (lulls in fighting, "proximity", shouting in various languages, airstrikes, arty bombardments) - please let me know.
I should have the time to put together a car-battery powered "boom box" as well, hell, ive got enough car stereo parts laying around the garage lol
