Sabre do black german military torches for a fiver.
They have that flip up hooded shield over the lens and green and red filters.
I assume they are east german.

Still reckon your better off with a captured Allied right angle torch ! Bright , robust, period, & can be put down and directed
Got mine this morning. He's not kidding about them being new, mine was still hermetically sealed in foil. I wondered what the hell it was at first. It takes 2 D batteries and seems to work pretty well.

Took me a bit of time to get mine working as well. Half an hour attacking all the contact points with a bit of wet&dry sorted it out tho.
